Description: A large, twining, vigorous climber with mid to bright green pinnate leaves, and very long racemes of fragrant, pea like, purple flushed, white flowers blooming as the new leaves emerge. A very dramatic Wisteria that contrasts well with other coloured forms.
History: Native to Japan. Received the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit.
Wisteria Growing Tips: Grow in a fertile, moist, well-drained soil in sun or semi shade. May be trained into a large tree, on a wall, arch or pergola, or as a free-standing half standard.
