Description: Wisteria floribunda ‘Hon-beni’ is a strong growing deciduous, twining climber with dark green, pinnate leaves, which turn golden-yellow in autumn. Long racemes of scented, pea like, pale rose pink flowers tipped with purple are borne in May.
History: Native to Japan. Received the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit.
Wisteria Growing Tips: Grow in a fertile, moist, well-drained soil in sun or semi shade. May be trained into a large tree, on a wall, arch or pergola, or as a free-standing half standard.
