Description: Wisteria brachybotrys ‘Okayama’ is a vigorous, deciduous twining shrub with long, pendulous racemes of beautiful, fragrant, pea like, dark violet purple flowers. The new bronze foliage turns a beautiful rich green in summer.
History: Received the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit.
Wisteria Growing Tips: Grow in a fertile, moist, well-drained soil in sun or semi shade. May be trained into a large tree, on a wall, arch or pergola, or as a free-standing half standard.
