Description: Willingham, as with the Old Green Gage form was selected by the RHS for its good cropping and excellent quality. A first rate flavoured flesh, sweet and is reminiscent of melons. Green coloured fruits which are delicious cooked into pies and jams. Found in the native hedgerows around Willingham in Cambridgeshire this is one of the finest eating qualities.
History: Originates from Cambridge, England during the 19th century.
