Description: Violet is a very old variety, often known as Reine Claude Violette. Produces high quality fruits, although has smaller quantity than other varieties. Best grown against a warm wall to succeed well. Dark green, mostly covered in reddish purple, thin skin. Flesh is green, rich, sweet and juicy.
History: Origin is unknown although it was mentioned as new in 1780.
