Description: Titania is a mid-season variety. Produces very large fruits of superb quality; they have high juice content and delicious flavours. Excellent for pies! Crops from early July until early August which makes it the longest cropping blackcurrant. Vigorous, upright in habit and mildew and rust resistance.
History: Developed in Sweden in 1980
Blackcurrant Growing Tips: Best planted in a sunny position that’s sheltered from cold winds and late frosts. Prefer moisture-retentive soils that are well-drained but will tolerate a wide range of soils. When planting in the autumn or spring, cut back all of the shoots after planting. Although it will lose it’s first year fruits, it will benefit the bush long term.
