Description: Styrax japonicus ‘Snow Cone’ is a uniform and symmetrical small tree with its graceful lateral limbs that sweep upwards in a unique form. The new bark is smooth with a grey-brown shading, maturing to an orange-brown colour and features a fissured appearance. Clusters of nodding, bell-shaped, white flowers bloom along the undersides of the branches in summer. The fine textured and dark green foliage turns brilliant yellow in autumn.
Styrax Growing Tips: Requires humus-rich but free-draining, lime-free soil in sun or semi-shade, sheltered from cold winds.
Height and Spread (after 10 years): 4m x 2m
