Description: Small elegant spreading tree with dark green fern like leaves that turn orange or bronze in autumn. The scarlet and pink fruit turn white as they age.
History: Introduced from western China in 1889 by the Abbé Delavay. Received the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit.
Sorbus Growing Tips:Â Grow in moderately fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil in full sun or light shade. Hardy and tolerant of urban pollution and coastal conditions.
