Full Description

Description: A small tree of open habit, with dark green, pinnate leaves that turn red in autumn and reddish bark with silvery markings. The berries are amongst the largest of any of the pink berry rowans, and change colour through the autumn from pale to deeper pink.

History: Originally considered to be a form of Sorbus cashmiriana, with which it has much in common, it has now been given separate specific status.

Sorbus Growing Tips: Grow in moderately fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil in full sun or light shade. Hardy and tolerant of urban pollution and coastal conditions.
