Description: An exquisite little tree similar to Sorbus vilmorinii but less vigorous. The leaves are pinnate and almost fern like, green at first, turning to orange and red in the autumn. White blooms in late spring are followed by deep rose-red berries.
History:Â Raised at Liverpool University Botanic Gardens, Ness, from seed collected in Yunnan, China.
Sorbus Growing Tips: Grow in moderately fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil in full sun or light shade. Hardy and tolerant of urban pollution and coastal conditions.
