Hupeh Rowan
Description: A medium sized deciduous tree forming a compact crown, with blue-green, pinnate leaves turning vivid red and orange autumn colours. White berries start out pink before turning white, and are produced in large clusters.
History: Discovered by Ernest Wilson and introduced from its native western China in 1910. Received the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit. Previously known as Sorbus hupehensis
Sorbus Growing Tips: Grow in moderately fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil in full sun or light shade. Hardy and tolerant of urban pollution and coastal conditions.
