Description: A small to medium sized tree with an upright, oval shape. The leaves are made up of long, elegant leaflets that turn yellow-orange in the autumn. Clusters of white flowers in spring are followed by vivid orange berries that appear on the branches in autumn. The most distinguishing feature is the long curved, blue-black winter buds from which it gets its name.
Sorbus Growing Tips: Grow in moderately fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil in full sun or light shade. Hardy and tolerant of urban pollution and coastal conditions.
