Description:Â Sorbus arranensis is large shrub or small upright tree also know as The Scottish or Arran Whitebeam. It has ovate leaves which are deeply lobed, green above and grey and downy underneath. White, delicate flowers in the spring which are followed by round-long berries in the autumn. A great natural bird feeder.Â
History: Only found in Glens on the Isle of Arran, Scotland. Rare.Â
Sorbus Growing Tips: Grow in moderately fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil in full sun or light shade. Hardy and tolerant of urban pollution, acid soils and coastal conditions.
