Parentage: Falstaff x Cox’s Orange Pippin
Description: Saturn is a new English dessert apple. Heavy crops of attractive, red blushed, conical fruit. Cream, crunchy flesh; sweet, honeyed, quite rich, but can be merely sweet and low in acidity. Very easy to grow, suitable for beginners!
History: Raised by Dr F Alston, HRI, East Malling, Kent in 1980. Introduced in 1997.
