x sepulcratis var. chrysocoma (Golden Weeping Willow)
Description: Salix alba ‘Tristis’ is a fast growing weeping willow with ascending branches, open rounded crown and pendulous branchlets that often sweep the ground. Small yellow catkins appear in the spring with the narrow, lance shaped leaves.
Salix Growing Tips: Suitable for damp places especially. Position to highlight winter sun on stems. Hard pruning in early spring is recommended of those grown for their winter stem colour.
