Weeping Willow leaved Pear
Description: Elegant, small tree of weeping habit forming a dense mound. Silver willow like leaves on weeping branches, turn an attractive bronzed green in the autumn before falling. Small creamy white flowers in April are followed by small brown/green ornamental fruits which are eaten by birds.
History: Received the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit.
Pyrus Growing Tips: Suitable for most soils, tolerant of drought and very hardy, prefers full sun. Ideal for screening and roadside planting.
