The semi-double white flowers appear intermittently from November through to March. The flowers are followed by small fruit that are popular with the birds. A fantastic tree to give year round interest.
History: Introduced about 1901. Also known as The Autumn Cherry.
Prunus (Flowering Cherry) Growing Tips: Prunus ‘Autumnalis’ is best grown in well-drained soil, in full sun to achieve the best flower display and autumn colour. Will tolerate most soil types including chalk and clay.
