Description: A small tree with long ascending, short-spurred branches densely packed with single blush pink flowers. Young leaves are bronze green, deep green in the summer, then reddish copper with yellow markings in the autumn.
History: Cultivated in Britain, descends from a plant at Kew which was identified by Wilson as ‘Temari’ on the basis of a specimen sent to him in America.
Prunus Growing Tips: Best grown in well-drained soil, in full sun to achieve the best flower display and autumn colour. Will tolerate most soil types including chalk and clay.
Height and Spread (after 10 years): 4m x 3m
