Description: Prunus ‘Kursar’ is a beautiful small tree with a spreading habit. Masses of deep pink single flowers appear in early March, that are very popular with bees. The ovate leaves are coppery when young, followed by rich autumn colours of red and gold. Prunus ‘Collingwood Ingram’ is a similar variety with darker pink flowers. Both are outstanding.
History: Raised by Ingram from Prunus campanulata x nipponica var. kurilensis.
Prunus (Flowering Cherry) Growing Tips: Best grown in well-drained soil, in full sun to achieve the best flower display and autumn colour. Will tolerate most soil types including chalk and clay.
Height and Spread (after 10 years): 2m x 2m
