Description: A small weeping tree with unusual variegated leaves. The summer foliage has attractive sharp light and dark green variegation which turns into striking multi-toned red and orange autumn tints. The blossom is pale pink, and borne in profusion in early spring. A superb mini tree for a variety of gardens, can also be grown in a patio pot. Can be pruned hard in the spring, after flowering to enhance its variegation and leaf size.
History: A sport of Prunus ‘Snow Showers’ introduced by Frank P Matthews and named in 2012.
Prunus Growing Tips: Best grown in well-drained soil, in full sun to achieve the best flower display and autumn colour. Will tolerate most soil types including chalk and clay.
Height and Spread (after 10 years): 1m x 0.5m
