History: Hybrid between P. sargentii and a form of P. x subhirtella, released from Knap Hill Nurseries in 1952. Received the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit in 1961.
Prunus (Flowering Cherry) Growing Tips: Prunus ‘Accolade’ is best grown in well-drained soil, in full sun to achieve the best autumn colour. Will tolerate most soil types including chalk, and clay.
