Description: Pixie is a high quality, heavy cropping, late keeping dessert apple. Excellent crops of small apples that are ideal for the garden, farm sales and children’s snacks. Yellow skin with attractive red stripes and orange-red flush. Flesh is creamy white, tinged green near the core. Crisp, finely textured, and fairly juicy. A rich flavour with plenty of sugar.
History:Â Raised in 1947 at National Fruit Trials, RHS Wisley, UK. In 1972, Pixie received First Class Certificate from Royal Horticultural Society. Parentage is unknown but thought to be either Cox or Sunset seedling.
