Description: Olympic is a wonderful Asian Pear which produces huge, round, russet covered pears that almost look like apples. The fruits can be the size of large oranges and are very crunchy, crisp and juicy. Asian pears are renowned for their firm, crisp and sweet flavour and are to be enjoyed fresh or eaten in salads. Can be kept for many months in the fridge or cool cellar. In spring the tree is covered in clusters of large, pure white flowers and the leaves have excellent autumn colour. Self fertile.
History: Olympic originated from Asia. Otherwise known as the Korean Giant.
