Description: Norfolk Royal Russet is a lovely looking, high quality dessert apple. The russet finish also has a bright red cheek giving it an old fashioned look. A russet sport of Norfolk Royal but with a richer and superb intense aromatic flavour.
History: Raised in Burnham Overy Staithe, Norfolk 1983 by RAF Chaplain, in his garden. Introduced by Highfields Nursery, Gloucester in 1983. Received an Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society in 1993.
