Full Description

Description: Considered to be an improved version of Malus ‘Brandywine’. Rounded shaped tree with oval green leaves, tinged with maroon. Pink buds open in spring to fragrant, deep rose-pink flowers. Followed by small, pumpkin-orange crab apples that mature in autumn and provide showy winter interest.

Malus Growing Tips: Crab Apples are self-fertile, and very useful as pollinators for a variety of fruit trees. Full sun or part shade lover, best grown in fertile, moist, deep, loamy soils. Requires minimal pruning in late winter or spring to remove damaged, diseased or misplaced growth.
