Description: Clouds of large bunches of fragrantly scented, blush white flowers in spring, followed by abundant dainty yellow fruit in autumn. Harvest the fruit to make crab apple jellies and jams or leave on the tree for the birds. An excellent pollinator for apples due to the timeliness and compatibility of its pollen.
Malus Growing Tips: Crab Apples are self-fertile, and very useful as pollinators for a variety of fruit trees. Full sun or part shade lover, best grown in fertile, moist, deep, loamy soils. Requires minimal pruning in late winter or spring to remove damaged, diseased or misplaced growth.
Height and Spread (after 10 years): 4m x 3m
