Description: A strongly upright shrub or small tree with attractive velvety matt green leaves, flushed bronze when young. Large, fragrant, cup shaped purple pink flowers, white within. Can re-bloom in summer with a lighter shade.
History: Bred by German breeder and magnolia enthusiast Michael Gottschalk, introduced in 2017.
Magnolia Growing Tips: Full sun to part shade lover, best grown in consistently moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soils. Provide sheltered site as buds and flowers may be damaged by cold winds, and late frosts. Shape and size can be controlled by pruning which should be done either immediately after flowering or during late summer.
