Description: A small, upright deciduous tree perfect for the smaller garden, flowering from a young age. The goblet shaped, golden yellow flowers bloom on bare branches before the dark green foliage emerges. Often described as a yellow version of M. ‘Black Tulip’.
History: Bred by Mark Jury of New Zealand.
Magnolia Growing Tips: Full sun to part shade lover, best grown in consistently moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soils. Provide sheltered site as buds and flowers may be damaged by cold winds, and late frosts. Shape and size can be controlled by pruning which should be done either immediately after flowering or during late summer.
Height and Spread (after 10 years): 4m x 3m
