Description: A large, upright, rounded shrub with maturity with a handsome spreading habit. Stunning, large, cup shaped, white flowers with a hint of lilac appear on the bare stems in early spring. Valued for its frost hardiness down to -6c.
History: Crossed by August Kehr of Hendersonville, North Carolina.
Magnolia Growing Tips: Full sun to part shade lover, best grown in consistently moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soils. Provide sheltered site as buds and flowers may be damaged by cold winds, and late frosts.
