Disease-resistant
Parentage: Discovery x Greensleeves
Description: Limelight is a mid-season eating apple, an improved Greensleeves type, abundant in cropping. Very suited to its name as the yellow-green fruits are almost luminous. The apple has a clean, smooth finish and seems to glow when ripe with the occasional attractive pink blush. Flesh is crisp, refreshing and rich in flavour. Very disease resistant and a very heavy cropper in suitable growing conditions.
History: Bred by Hugh Ermen, Kent in 2000 as a variety specifically for UK gardeners.
