Description: Hinnonmaki Yellow is a very heavy cropper producing greenish-yellow berries. A unique flavour, delicious aromatic with a slight hint of apricot. With its red and green sisters this variety is excellent for organic growing with high mildew resistance. A very hardy variety.
History: Bred in Finland.
Gooseberry Growing Tips: A very easy fruit to grow. Thrive in many different types of soil, avoiding water logged areas. They are happiest planted in a sunny spot either training against a wall or in containers to take up less space in small gardens. If you would like to eat/cook the berries then make sure you protect them from the birds!
