Description: Glen Ample® is a mid season, high yielding, spine-free Raspberry. Heavy crops of large, bright red berries of superb sweet flavour that can weigh up to 3gm! The fruit can be picked over a long period of time throughout the Summer. The fruits have an excellent shelf life, can be eaten fresh from the bush or cooked into sweet dishes, Raspberry jams, Raspberry gin or frozen. An exceptional variety that’s perfect for planting in small areas of the garden or in patio containers.

History: Developed in Scotland in 1978.

Raspberry Growing Tips: Thrive in moisture-retentive, fertile, slightly acidic soils which are well-drained. Prefer being planted in sunny sheltered locations, although they will tolerate partial shade. Regular pruning will result in healthier and better quality plants. All varieties are self fertile and are pollinated by insects.
