Description: ‘Blagon’ is a deciduous, columnar tree maintaining a narrow crown when mature. The interesting leaves are apple green in summer, turning a lovely butter yellow in autumn, which create a pretty carpet of gold on the ground as they fall. This is a male form, so it will not produce any fruits. It makes a striking screen or avenue of trees when planted closely together. Alternatively, its slow growth habit even makes it suitable for a large container.
History: Developed from a chance seedling, Derly Obtentions, Authevernes, France, 1999.
Ginkgo Growing Tips: Grow in well-drained soil with a full sun position.
Height and Spread (after 20 years): 6m x 2m
