Description: Dennistons Superb, also known as ‘Imperial Gage’ is the most reliable cropping gage. Pale green skin, fruits are large and round. Transparent sweet flesh with a classic gage-like rich flavour, moderately juicy and sweet. The skin is slightly bitter. Recommended for Midlands and Northern regions.
History: Raised at Prince’s Nursery, Albany, New York, USA around 1790 by Mr Denniston. Recieved an Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society.
