Description: D’Arcy Spice is an unusual, late keeping dessert English apple with an interesting hot, spicy nutmeg flavour. A medium sized apple that is bright green becoming gold with red flush. A healthy variety that is resistant to scab, mildew and canker and frost resistant blossom. Enjoys the sea air!
History: Found in garden of The Hall, Tolleshunt d’Arcy, Essex, England in about 1785, but may have earlier origins. Later introduced in 1848 by John Harris.
