Full Description

Description: Dense and bushy evergreen with arching branches and long, lance shaped leaves, flushed with a blue/green hue. Large clusters of white flowers in May-June are followed in the autumn by a mass of yellow/apricot berries that develop a pink tinge as the winter progresses. The berries are long-lasting, often remaining on the tree until New Year.

History: Selected by Lionel Rothschild in 1930, in Exbury, Hampshire. Received the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit in 1969.

Cotoneaster Growing Tips: Best planted in full sun or partial shade, and thrive is fertile soils but will tolerate any soil as long as it’s well-drained.
