Cornus kousa ‘Miss Satomi’
Description: A spreading medium-sized deciduous shrub with ovate leaves turning purple and deep red in autumn. Produces a blanket of large, rich pink flower bracts in June, followed by rosy pink ornamental fruits.
History: In cultivation since 1986.
Cornus Growing Tips: Thrives in fertile, humus-rich, neutral to acid soil. Unsuitable for shallow, chalky soils.
