Full Description

Description: A stunning small, upright, vase shaped tree, with huge, star shaped, creamy white flowers that bloom in abundance in early June, followed by raspberry like fruits that will attract birds. Leaves are dark green on top and blue-green on the underside, with purple-red autumn colour.

History: Selected from a seedbed in Ohio in the 1960’s and named for its abundant flower display suggestive of the many stars in the Milky Way!

Cornus Growing Tips: Thrives in fertile, humus-rich, neutral to acid soil. Unsuitable for shallow, chalky soils.
