Description: ‘Eddies White Wonder’ is a cross between Cornus florida and Cornus nuttalii. Perfect for small gardens, forming a broad, deciduous tree or multi-stemmed shrub. The large glossy, dark green leaves give beautiful deep red to purplish red autumn colours. Each white flower head is surrounded by four to six bracts, and project nearly horizontally from the flower stalk in late spring. Regarded as the very best white flowering Cornus.
History: Shortlisted for the Chelsea Plant of the Centenary for the decade 1963-1972. Received the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit.
Cornus (Dogwood) Growing Tips: Thrives in fertile, humus-rich, neutral to acid soil. Unsuitable for shallow, chalky soils. Tolerates some shade.
Height and Spread (after 10 years): 4m x 3m
