Description: Cedrus atlantica ‘Glauca Pendula’ is a hardy, small to medium weeping, evergreen tree with twisted branches. Covered with small cones in spring, and silvery bluish green needles which provide all year round interest. Weeping blue Atlas Cedar trees get their name from the Latin Glauca, which refers to the blue/green colour of the needles and Pendula, which describes the weeping habit.
History: Received the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit.
Cedrus Growing Tips: Performs best in full sun in medium moisture, well-drained soils. Tolerant of hot and humid summers. Drought tolerant once established. It should be staked upright after planting in order to train the branches to droop and to create the popular “waterfall” effect. No pruning required.
Height and Spread (after 10 years): 4m x 2m
