Description: Carpinus betulus ‘Rockhampton Red’ has the same growth rate and habit as Carpinus betulus. In the autumn the leaves transform into a spectacular display of bright reds and intense fiery oranges, these colours normally persist until mid-late November when the leaves turn brown. A high proportion of the brown leaves remain on the tree until the following spring.

Carpinus Growing Tips: Suitable grown in heavy, wet or chalky soils. Prefer to be planted in a full sun or partial shade position.
