Description: Arapaho is an erect, early-ripening, thornless shrub that produces large red and black fruit, ripening in early to mid-June. The berries are firm and great for fresh eating, jams and syrups.

Blackberry Growing Tips: Happier planted in a sunny, sheltered site but they can tolerate light shade. Prefer moisture-retentive but well-drained soil. Blackberries are vigorous and need regular pruning. Tie in the shoots of newly-planted canes. Once they reach their first winter, cut back all sideshoots on the main canes. If you would like to eat the fruits yourself, don’t forget to cover the plant to stop the birds getting them!
