Description: Amelanchier laevis ‘Snow Flakes’, also known as Smooth Serviceberry, is a stunning, small tree or large bush of ascending habit. Large, hanging, single white flowers appear in April as a lovely contrast to the emerging hairless, copper foliage. Followed by edible blackish fruits which arrive just before the rich bronze-red autumn leaf colours. Makes the perfect feature tree, even in small gardens.
Amelanchier Growing Tips: They will thrive in moist, well-drained, lime-free soil. The best autumn colour is achieved when they’re planted in a full sun position but they do tolerate partial shade.
Height and Spread (after 10 years) : 4m x 3m
