Description: Amelanchier alnifolia ‘Obelisk’ is an interesting fastigiate form with a dense branch structure. An intense display of single white star-shaped flowers with green centres adorn the tree in April. Young leaves emerge bronze, maturing to green throughout the summer before turning orange-yellow in the autumn. Stunning dark reddish purple edible fruits are left on the tree in the winter. Perfect for smaller gardens.
Amelanchier Growing Tips: They will thrive in moist, well-drained, lime-free soil. The best autumn colour is achieved when they’re planted in a full sun position but they do tolerate partial shade.
Height and Spread (after 10 years) : 4m x 3m
