Full Description

Description: A frost hardy hybrid Japanese Maple. Tolerates colder temperatures than regular Japanese Maples. Deeply lobed leaves and lovely autumn colours. This cold hardy tree has the look of a much more delicate tree, with a gentle weeping habit. The finely divided appearing leaves turn a kaleidoscope of orange yellow and red in autumn.

History: A cross between Acer pseudosieboldianum (False Siebolds Maple) for hardiness and Acer palmatumn. One of several of the ‘Jack Frost’® bred introductions from Iseli Nursery, USA.

Acer Growing Tips: Very easy to grow in a wide range of well-drained soils. They thrive in sun but with partial shade to protect the leaves from scorch. Ideal for exposed sites.
