Description: Acer palmatum ‘Tamukeyama’ is a cultivar with crimson-red dissected leaves which unfold to an excellent tone of dark purple holding well throughout summer. Bright scarlet foliage appears in the autumn with deep maroon branches. One of the best and most robust purple dissected forms. Perfect for small gardens or planting in a large container.
History: Introduced in 1710.
Acer Growing Tips: Very easy to grow in a wide range of well-drained soils. They thrive in sun but with partial shade to protect the leaves from scorch. A sheltered area away from strong winds is preferred.
Height and Spread (after 10 years) : 3m x 2m
