Description: Acer palmatum ‘Pixie’ is reputed to be a sport from ‘Bloodgood’ but with more deeply cut lobes. The leaves emerge bright pink in the spring, darkening to deep reddish-bronze in the summer which lasts well into the autumn before they turn fiery, bright scarlet. Perfect for small gardens or planting in a large container.
Acer Growing Tips: Very easy to grow in a wide range of well-drained soils. They thrive in sun but with partial shade to protect the leaves from scorch. A sheltered area away from strong winds is preferred.
Height and Spread (after 10 years) : 3m x 2m
