Description: Acer ginnala ‘Flame’, also known as The Tatarian Maple is a shrub or small tree of bushy habit, with bright glossy green leaves turning orange and crimson in the autumn. Its bark is smooth when they’re young but become cracked as they mature. Yellowish-white fragrant flowers appear during the spring. The perfect tree for the smaller garden and great for all year round interest.
History: Originated from Afghanistan.
Acer (Maple) Growing Tips: Very easy to grow in a wide range of well-drained soils. They thrive in sun but with partial shade to protect the leaves from scorch. A sheltered area away from strong winds is preferred.
