Description: Abies concolor ‘Violacea’ is one of the best Fir varieties available with very silvery blue needles. Very decorative large, greyish blue cones with brown tips. The tree is conical, quite symmetrical forming layers of irregular branches. A naturally smallish tree so ideal for smaller gardens. Very hardy and quite slow growing.
Abies (Fir) Growing Tips: Easy in most conditions and in any reasonably well-drained soil, other than shallow chalk. Prefers to be planted in an open, sunny position.
